Creativity reduces risk of Dementia- Amanda Cervantes p.4

A neurological study has confirmed, yes art helps the mind to stay healthy and alive. Researchers observed that middle aged people and older people who engaged in activities like painting, or drawing had an apparent 73% change to less likely develop thought or memory problems. This also applies to socializing. These activities have been found to increase cognitive behaviour in the brain. Engaging in these activities, or doing hobbies that is outside of the regular routine of someones day job, not only prevents  neurons from dying, it also helps develop new ones.
This just comes to show that someone is never too old or "finished" to try something new out, its all about keeping the mind exersicing which alot of times is harder to do than keeping the body in shape, especially after someone has lived longer.

  1. “For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.” -Eric Roth
