Anthony Ray Hinton, a man in Alabama who was convicted of murdering two people back in 1985, has been released recently due to a new discovery in evidence in the case. Recent tests on the 30 year old bullets prove that they did not come from Hinton's gun. Because these bullets were the only hard evidence that the Birmingham PD had on him, Hinton was released immediately. His lawyer, Bryan Stevenson, said that his client was convicted due to his inability to afford proper legal council. Hinton only had about $1,000 to spare which in terms of an expert's and lawyer's paycheck. The bullet expert he did end up hiring did nothing but embarrass Hinton, making jurors laugh as he struggled to answer bullet-related questions during cross-examination.
The sad thing about this whole situation is that Mr. Hinton could have been freed a long time ago; all the forensics team on the case had to do was test the bullets. So why did they choose to ignore the fact that an innocent man was rotting away in jail while they could have helped him? Regardless of the selfishness of others, what's important now is that this man has his life back and he can enjoy whatever he has left.

Yes I agree with this, "Regardless of the selfishness of others, what's important now is that this man has his life back and he can enjoy whatever he has left."
