Teen dies after medical emergency on flight
Nia Edwards
On Saturday December 7, a sixteen year old fell ill on a Delta Air cross country line. It was said that the teenager died of natural causes. Although the name was not released it was found that the child was the son of a soldier "from the 16th combat Aviation Brigade of the 7th Infantry Division out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord at Fort Lewis, Washington. The kid and mother were flying to go out and be with the father at the new base. The Child's flight was going to Atlanta but it had to change to Spokane after the emergency. The kid's autopsy is planned for Monday.
This is really upsetting that this kid died on this flight. I couldn't imagine how his mother and father must feel losing their child when on the way to reunite. These things happen and it makes it clear that life is very fragile. Its scary how people's lives can just end so abruptly. I hope when the results of his autopsy comes in that there is no sign of foul play and that it was indeed natural causes.
Well dang. That's crazy that he died going to visit his father. I mean joining the military and being in the infantry division is extremely dangerous (isn't that like the killing division). So it is crazy that the family probably prepared themselves for the danger the father would be in and then the son dies. Life is so strange.
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad that after all of the battles I'm sure his father went through, it was still the child who died first. I think one of the worst things that can happen to you, is for you to outlive your child. I can't imagine the heartache that his parents must be going through, but I wish them strength in their time of mourning.
