Naturally, as everybody already knows this, The government shutdown is a huge problem. At least it is according to 49% of Americans, and an additional 18% saying it's a national crisis. Both sides are to blame, however, still according to the American public, with majorities of people polled saying the Republicans, the Democrats, and Obama is to blame. Somehow there are three different majorities, my guess is there were numerous polls, but still. It is also clear through all of the polls, that people are more mad at Republicans than Democrats, which is understandable given that they started it.
My response today will be in cyan, because it is an amazing colour, and it might hurt peoples eyes, a win - win situation! My opinions on this issue is summed up simply by saying, it is stupid. There is no need for this shutdown and I vote for it is the Republicans fault. Obama-care was already passed by the house, and the senate, signed off by Obama, and approved by the supreme court, why is it that one person, who happens to be a Republican, is going to deny the funding to it based on his own beliefs. This baffles me, and I have no idea why the Republicans at the GOP can't admit that Obama-care is a good idea, and allow it. Canada has proved it can work, as well as many capitalist European countries, and Communist Cuba. Clearly it can work, so this is 100% unnecessary.
It just really upsets me that the whole thing was already passed and deemed a good idea, yet politicians (who don't even need Obama-care) act like it won't work. I agree, its totally unnecessary. Furthermore, all these politicians are still getting paid although they aren't working, why can't we just use all that money for WIC or something? -Nana Johnson 2nd Period

I completely agree with "naronaxie." The Affordable Care Act was deemed Constitutional and was passed. This shutdown is a childish attempt to thwart a perfectly good law and hurt the political image of our president. Likewise, I agree with you, Mason; the GOP can't seem to get past this foolishness.
