As the government shutdown continues, the Affordable Healthcare Act, or Obamacare, has become the center point of all political debate. The federal government remains paralyzed as anti-Obamacare conservatives harshly pinpoint flaws with the Affordable Healthcare Plan and pro-Obamacare democrats re insure the plan's effectiveness. In doing so, anti-Obamacare have "blown the law’s potential problems so far out of proportion that their attacks sound like a “Saturday Night Live” parody" while democrats stand by and factually downsize the posed issues. The largest fears brought to the surface by the reluctant conservatives are that the 50 employee healthcare cutoff will force some small businesses to either cut employee's hours or keep small business under 50 employees from moving forward or pressure larger companies to cut workers to avoid healthcare laws however democrats state that only 3 percent of all small businesses will face these problems while all others receive benefits from other aspects of Obamacare. However, in attempts to nullify all positive appeals of the Affordable Healthcare Act, conservatives continue making larger and larger mountains out of a molehill. Although conservatives continue attacking the Affordable Healthcare Act, economists have helped to disprove and minimize most anti-Obamacare arguments as the government approaches their conclusion.
I find this article to example a republican ambush that has been seen throughout history and even more so currently. Many politicians and economists alike have stated the positive qualities the Obamacare act can bring to Americas's plate and conservatives have continued to bash on the plan that is meant to improve the well being for all Americans. The plan's benefits do not only reach to democrats or republicans but simply to all working Americans, however due to personal, opinionated issues with the plan, republicans have not found moral issues shutting down the federal government. The already legislatively approved plan, according Obama,"will move forward" with or without support from conservatives showing that anti-Obamacare members are a burdensome waste of the shutdown governments precious time.
