Analysis:
The way that the shutdown has negatively affected so many people and has received almost no sign of ending soon plays into the way that the United States government has harmed its own citizens time and time again for the sake of profit. Workers are being thrown under the bus, the FDA is not investigating products, food assistance programs are running out of funding, and so much more. So many people aren't getting paid money that they need. Those people don't even know when they'll go back to their regular paychecks- none of us do.
I agree this is a very tough situation for people who are hard working citizens who just want to be able to work and support their families. I hope that the President and Congress will reach a resolution soon and will realize the impact on the people they are supposed to be representing.

ReplyDeleteI know that this government shutdown has been the longest and I completely agree that it has negatively impacted a lot of people. I think these people deserve to be paid because they have bills and responsibilities just like everyone else. -Lesly Marquez
