Americans are more often dying from overdose than dying on the roads - Sophia Zhukova

The new report shows that residents of the United States today are more likely to die from an overdose of prohibited substances than in road accidents.
In recent years, the chances of Americans dying from an opioid overdose have increased so much that they became the first cause of death - for the first time in the country's history, death from accident on the road has faded into the background.
According to a new report by the National Security Council on preventable deaths, it was opiods that became the leading cause of the premature death of Americans. One of the 96 dead Americans died from an overdose of opioids in 2017. The ratio of death on the roads is one of 103.

It is sad to hear any news about drugs in our time. I can't say that there weren't drugs in past time of our history at all, people always knew about it and it is sad to know that people are creating new drugs over and over again. And in our time amount of deaths because of drugs increases everyday. There are people who trying to stop it and I'm sure they are doing everything they can. Drugs were always a scary topic for me and I think we need to talk about it sometimes anyway and remember what can it do with your life and life of people around you.
