San Bernardino school shooting
Angelica Salazar 1st period
In southern California, a man shot his wife, and eventually, even killing himself that Monday. What makes matters worse is that he shot his wife in an elementary school in a special needs classroom. The class was filled with children within the age of 1st through 4th grade. This, eventually led these children into being traumatized. Furthermore, two kids of the ages 8 and 9 were also affected by the gunfire. Jonathan Martinez, however, died while the other didn't. They weren't necessarily targeted, but they were near the teacher, leaving them greatly affected.
The issue of gun control, is a constant dispute on whether it is good or bad. The second amendment states that the people of the United States have the right to bare arms, but in what way could that be considered a bad thing. Issues, especially the one directed in the article, leave people saying that gun use is a bad thing. On the other hand, being able to bare arms gives citizens the individuality they want to feel free and independent from the nation's government itself. So how should the United States maintain and rid of the violence through gun use?
