Eric Trump, the second youngest male of the trump family, has recently let the news know something very surprising about Ivanka, President Trump's oldest daughter. Ivanka appears to be the only one who can tell the president no. She has not been involved in much decidion-making but ensures she is heard on topics that mean the most to her. It has only been a few weeks since she took an office role, meaning that she has yet to make a huge change yet. Her role could be instrumental in raising Trump's approval ratings, which are currently the lowest any presidents' have ever been this early in a term.
Having someone to offset the man who listens to almost no one could be a great thing for the government. I sincerely hope that Ivanka will keep our best interest in mind and will be more negotiable than her father, whom she then can persuade. I find it incredibly interesting and hypocritical, however, how Trump and conservatives were worried about having a female in power, while it appears the same thing (to a lesser extent, obviously) is happening here. The article does have some bias against president Trump, but it is hopeful for positive change and addresses everything respectfully.

the fact that a person like president trump who has very set goals and can be blinded to the bad effects of his decisions is now being influenced by his oldest daughter, ivanka, could prove beneficial to his presidency and reputation. ivanka, being someone with a large social media following and having people who look up to her in many ways can perhaps change the majority of the negative opinions on the president. hopefully, she will keep a straight path and help improve our economy. -tessa ward
