Texas has had an unusual May. Instead of April showers bringing the May flowers, the month of May has received massive floods. Floods in Central Texas have possibly claimed the lives of 12 lives. Families of the victims say that while they know there is hope, they are coming to terms with the devastating reality that their loved ones may not have survived.
Analysis: Weather directly relates to our safety as humans, and even Americans. Floods can often be a risk not just for health, but also for homes and other facilities. This relates to APUSH because there have been many disasters, such as tornadoes and hurricanes (Hurrican Katrina to name one) that have ruined lives, families, and facilities.
