Floods in Texas - Nancy Padilla 2nd

This article talks about the floods that are affecting the southern parts of Texas and northern Mexico. 35 people have died from either tornadoes or the extreme rain that has caused flooding. While the rain has stopped for now any amount of rain in Houston can push the entire city back into an emergency situation. This flooding has caused for more than 1,400 structures to be damaged from buildings, to houses, to bridges.

This is pretty upsetting to think about because of the simple fact that we are so close to the people suffering though this and yet we can't really do to much to help them physically because of the fact that were still about 3 hours away. However people who can donate their food, clothes, time, or money should do so just so that more people will be left without a home.

  1. I agree. It is pretty upsetting. I hope we're able to provide support in the future.

  2. I agree. Cities usually don't connect as much as we should. That should really change if they are in need lets help them.

  3. The US should have better plans for floods. Maybe the states should put that on their agenda. Quentin Noble P2

  4. I agree, it seems like we can take extra precautions to avoid such a large death toll.
