A deputy was convicted of murder just this past week. He shot and killed an unarmed black man. He claims that he meant to pull out his taser but ended up pulling out his gun and shot the man. He can earn up to four years in prison for killing an unarmed black man. The deputy says that he is upset and very sad over the situation and hopes that people can see that it is an accident.
I don't think this is an accident. How can one pull out a gun and mistake it for a taser. A trained deputy would be able to tell the difference, which leads me to believe that this is a hate crime. It's sad how many crimes are based on discrimination are happening these days. I hope that all these can stop because we need the freedoms that were are still are promised to us this in the Bill of Rights for all people.
