TD Simons Pd. 5

Tensions have arisen between Americans and Iranians because of trouble occurring in the Strait of Hormuz. American ships have been attacked, causing US Navy to accompany any American commerce ship. This is terrible timing because the US and Iran are very close to reaching an agreement over a long-term dispute over nuclear activities. This agreement will hopefully be made by the deadline of June 30.

I hope that Americans and Iranians can stand at an armistice for the next two months so this agreement can prevail. These country’s relationships have been shaky for so long and will soon become still if both of them can lay low for the next two months.

  1. I hope we cane envelop peaceful relations once again. Now that we have more oil reserves in North America, we are less dependent on the Middle East, but we should still work for great relations with Iran.
