A Power plant in New York recently caused oil to seep into the Hudson River. There is a lot of ambiguities involving this case and contradictions throughout this article. Many of the quotes attempt to downplay the gravity of this situation, but the true facts of this case reveal some lies being told to the public about the spill’s implications.
The Guardian is pretty trusted by liberals and conservatives equally. The issue here deals a lot less with politics then other articles, but it is clear the author wants to reveal some of the lies or oversimplifications the spokespeople are telling the public regarding the spill.
