New Law Passed in Russia by Hailey Summers in 6th Period

The Russian government under Vladimir Putin has enacted a law that gives the federal government the power to persecute people who are "undesirable." This can result in up to six years in prison. This caused an outcry of controversy across the globe. This infringes on citizens personal liberties by preventing them to be anything but the government standard.

This not only is an disgrace and a shame, but a threat to civil rights everywhere. The Russian people now have a potential totalitarian society on their hands.

  1. I hope it doesn't get too far because Russia has already been through a lot in the past. Citizens don't deserve their rights to be threatened that way.
