Abraham Lincoln's tomb is under the risk of being closed to the public and/or destroyed because of state budget cuts.
This was written by Rachel Otwell for NPR. This site is very important for our history, and it attracts thousands, if not millions of people every year. They come from all over the world to see the tomb of the famous Abe Lincoln. The money that is raised from tourism should be enough to stop budget cuts, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Where is the money going? Is it something more important than preserving our history? No matter what it's going towards instead of this, I doubt that it can replace the traditional funeral trail and ceremony that is performed every year at the one of a kind tomb. Something needs to be done to stop the state government from completely getting rid of Lincoln's tomb. He played a key role in our country, and it wouldn't be right to ruin his beautiful burial place.
