House conservatives secure vote in bid to block DC abortion law Heather McKay
House conservatives secure a time to vote on a measure that would block a controversial DC abortion law. The law, approved in December, would ban city employers from taking punitive action against employees for using abortion services or birth control. I'm personally a little confused why this law was approved in the first place; however, that is probably because I am pro-choice. Many are concerned that the vote to block this law would discriminate against pro-life citizens in DC. However, the countenance of the law discriminates against pro-choice citizens. There really is no end to this argument, in this case.
