FBI Investigates Threats Against Memorial Day Flights- Jazmin Garcia (2nd Period)

Law enforcement scrambled on a busy long weekend to ensure airplanes were secure since 10 threats were phoned. Police officials radioed crew and evacuated the plane for a search, but nothing was found. Many of the passengers didn't think anything was wrong until they landed and everyone was trying to see if everything was safe. Although many planes are being searched, many of the threats seem to be false but police have to handle every threat as credible because one may turn out to be real.

This relates to APUSH because it kind of reminds me of terrorism. For example, 9/11. They used planes to destroy the Twin Towers. Terrorists are believed to always have a bomb strapped on them and there have been stories in the past that they strap them on children because police least expect children carrying weapons. I'm glad the police took every threat seriously. Some threats seem credible especially since it's Memorial Day and anything can happen anywhere at anytime.

  1. Thankfully they did take everything seriously, and it's certainly good to hear that no one was injured.
