Baltimore Pays for Riots -Myles Bennett

Baltimore is estimating that they will need to pay roughly $20 million to repair all the damage done from the riots against racially charged crimes and killings by police officers. Many people broke into stores, looted, vandalized, and destroyed businesses. The riots that lasted for days destroyed the city.

Analysis: These racially charged interrogations and killings have sparked riots in many places from people of all races. Riots were also used by Malcom X in his beliefs that African Americans should be equal in the 1960s. In comparison, Martin Luther King Jr. decided that the best way to obtain equality is through peaceful protests such as sit ins. Both ways contributed to the equalization of the races.
