A baby was taken from his mother in 1973. In Chile, this was common and children were stolen from parents and taken out of the country to be sold or illegally adopted by unknowing couples outside of Chile. Travis Tolliver was one of these babies who was stolen from his mother and given up for adoption to an unsespecting couple in Washington. His mother was told he died at birth but was never presented a body or death certificate. 40 years later, he found her through blood tests and reconnected.
This is a sad story. During the 7ps and 80s, Chile was under the rule of a dictator. This allowed for several illegal and unethical things to happen. It's sad how some people can be so insensitive and ruin other people's lives without considering the repercussions.

I'm glad they got to be together again! It's sad that there are people who still do these type of things but hopefully we'll find a way to stop these things from happening in the future.
