Earlier this week, a judge sentenced a TSA Agent six months in jail because of a restroom. Daniel Boykin pleaded guilty that he did secretly video tape a female co worker in a separate TSA restroom. He also had over 1500 photos and videos on his phone and computer of the woman. Assistant District Attorney said this was one of the most invasive privacy cases she had ever dealt with. He his sentenced with six months in jail. He worked in the administrative offices and not with the public security.
This really disturbs me because TSA was created right after the terrorist attacks in 9/11 to provide better security and safe travels for the public. And Boykin took away that label by invading someone's privacy. I didn't think anyone in TSA or working for them in any way would even consider invading someone's privacy but unfortunately it did happen. I wish some people weren't so ignorant and could make think of why TSA was created in the first place.

ReplyDeleteYou might have phrased this differently, but I agree that the TSA wouldn't go out of their way to invade privacy.
ReplyDeleteThere have been many complints about the TSA and the infringing of privacy and this case really doesn't help people look at the TSA in favor.
ReplyDeleteWe live in a world were everyone can video tape anyone. This case proves that. We need to be more aware of what is going on around us. What the TSA Agent did was wrong and it is nice to see that we will not let it stand.
