Shooting in North Carolina (Daniel Alcorta 4th)

An employee of a college store in North Carolina was shot and killed. The community college was then put under lock down, and authorities were immediately called to investigate. Police originally had a suspect, which they believed was in a bathroom so they released tear gas, but they couldn't find enough evidence and eventually let him go. They found another suspect. This man was a former student at the college and a former worker for the employee. They believe that there was some kind of tensions before, and they are now investigating the case. The college is going to hold a memorial and is sending support to his family and close friends.

This relates to the second amendment, about the right to arms. Back then, we were given the right to arms to protect ourselves and stand up for our nation. It was first established in the Bill of Rights written towards the British Parliament. But back then, arms were not weapons of mass destruction. They were shot guns, machine guns, or other horrible weapons meant to hurt people. These days, the access to guns have led to shootings like this, that causes such terrible tragedies. There is no set solution to this problem, but maybe if the government would concentrate about the crimes that has happened that revolved guns, they could probably think of several antidotes.

  1. This shows that no good can come from guns. What a horrible event, but it looks like the police have a plan. Hopefully there will be justice.

  2. People need to watch out for the blowing up of police media and make sure companies portray the story correctly. Quentin Noble P2
