Parents could face charges after boy falls into cheetah exhibit at Cleveland zoo - Jack VanGorden 4th per.

This Saturday, a 2-year-old boy fell into the cheetah exhibit at Cleveland Metropark Zoo. Fortunately, the cheetah made no attempt to interact with the boy and he only suffered leg injuries from falling the 10-12 feet into the habitat. Zoo officials are now considering pushing for child endangerment charges against the parents because several eyewitnesses came forward and claimed that the child was dangled over the rail. According to Dr. Christopher Kuhar, executive director of the facility, after the drop, the parents immediately went into the exhibit to retrieve their son. The boy was taken to a local hospital but is in stable condition.

Even though I do think the mother was wrong for holding her baby over the rail of the exhibit, something tells me that she meant no harm by it. I want to believe that the child wanted a better look at the cheetahs, not that the mother wanted to put her son in danger. It'll be interesting to hear more from the eyewitnesses and to see whether or not the zoo presses charges.
