Marco Rubio, the son of Cuban immigrants has announced that he will be joining the 2016 presidential election. He has shared his personal story about being the son of immigrants and how he is truly American despite his background. He holds a seat in the Senate, and will be finishing Senate duties and after, he will be flying up to New York to attend some fundraisers. The presidential campaigning has officially begun!
I think that it's great that we have such a diverse set of candidates this year. A woman is running and has a great chance of winning and two Latino Americans. Despite all the problems and horrific events this country has been through, I think that these candidates will each make great presidents. America can only move forward, and we shouldn't look back at the past we've left behind, except to learn from them.

I think Marco Rubio is a great candidate. He will definitely try to implement his past into his campaign and maybe his presidency, and I think that having a past like his will be for the better. -Destiny Ramirez
