Corruption in American Politics - Rachel Webb 3rd Pd

American politics is corrupt in many ways. It has been for a very long time. For this article's specifics, look at the link below. I will not go into detail about them. I will, however, briefly show the corruption using them as evidence.
When the American people vote for their leaders, they vote in order to have the best representatives for the up-keeping of this nation. These cases are about the money spent in an election. It seems that people are more worried about how much to spend on an election campaign than the depth of the issues America faces everyday. This was not the view of the first leaders when the idea of electing leaders came about. Yes, this democracy is about equality and the American people need a vote that counts, but the election should not be about pleasing the people enough that you are the most popular. This is back-tracking and people need to notice it.

  1. This is still an issue, though probably not as bad as the historical example of the turn of the 20th Century United States, with men like Boss Tweed running the indisputably corrupt show.
