A family, who lives in San Diego, has been traveling the world constantly since 2012. It has always been an aspiration of theirs to sail the sea around Mexico. They had also been traveling with their two daughters. Unfortunately, while 500 miles away from the coast of Mexico, their youngest daughter became very ill. She had a very bad rash, and seemed deathly sick. To make matters even worse, the power of their boat went out. The family then called the coast guard. It was decided by the U.S. navy to send a rescue team for this young child. The baby, even though not yet in a hospital, has been stabilized.
This story shows a real life example of how the government or army helped a specific family. Without the aid of the navy, the illness might have killed the child. It's nice to see how the government is actually doing something right. I am very pleased that the navy took such great measures to save one person. I hope more articles appear like this in the future.
