After Friday's shooting in the LAX airport they have a suspect, Ciancia, being charged with murder of a federal officer and commission of violence in an airport. Officers said they haven't made much headway with his motives behind the shooting because he is unable to talk due to injury. However, they did find a note saying he wanted to "instill fear" in the TSA agents' "traitorous minds". This is the only lead they have on his motives for this awful incident, but police are working on finding more.
A few days before the incident, Ciancia goes to his roommates asking for a ride to the airport so he can visit a sick relative. But, he wouldn't give anyone a specific time to take him. Eventually he charges into his dorm and demands a ride from a roommate to the airport, with no explanation. Earlier, he had been texting relatives out of state about he was "feeling sad". His relatives contact police to check on Ciancia fearing he may harm himself, but they were too late, he had already left for the airport.
This is an unfortunate example of bad timing but goes to show the impact you can have on caring for someone.
It sad to say but there are more people like Cianca whom are driven mad by the very changing Environment. These incidents should be more prevent and any warning sign should be looked at carefully.
