Madison Ceurter 5th period: Astronaut Karen Nyberg captures Typhoon Haiyan from space

As I was scrolling through the CNN articles this one caught my eye the most.  Karen Nyberg was in space for 5 months capturing pictures of Typhoon Haiyan and experimenting.  The picture that she took of the Typhoon was so big that she couldn't fit it into one picture.  She said the storm was so beautiful on the outside, but on the inside it caused such horrific damage.  As she was up in space her and the other astronauts were experimenting with bone density and fluids, all to help with the goal being for astronauts to travel farther in space for a longer period of time.  Karen was also noticing vision changes while she was in space and when she came back to earth she had to adjust from the different visions.  Here is the link to see the magnificent picture of the Typhoon.
