'Family Guy' shocker: Major character death(Rhyann lee)
Summary: On Sunday's episode of the animated Fox series, the Griffin family pooch, Brian, was killed. (Seriously.)
The intelligent and verbose pet was headed into the street to play with his ace companion, mischievous baby Stewie, when he was struck by an oncoming car. His injuries were so severe, he ended up having to say farewell to the family he's bonded with since 1999.

the reason the dog, Brian, was killed off was to boost ratings and get people talking about the show, and obviously it worked. After for airing for almost 15 years, you have to admit the show could get a little tedious and was probably losing viewers because of it. By killing of Brian viewers will now want to watch the show to see what happens to the Griffin family and how they cope with the death of their dog. if you couldn't already tell...i like Family guy..it's my brothers favorite show.
