Sean Murphy, who leaned photos of the Boston bombing, has retired from the police force at the age of 48. After he leaked the photos he was sentenced to a 1 days suspension and them transferred to a night shift job. The police department claimed that the transfer was not punishment or a demotion but simply because they needed some one on the job but we all know that is a lie. By leaking those pictures Murphy could have compromised the case. I know if I was in charge and my photographer was leaking photos I'd move him to a different job because I would have a new found lack of trust. It's human nature to respond that way. What I don't understand is why the department can't just come out and say that. Murphy, now retired, says he does not know what he will do next.
