It came out recently that the wealthiest residents in Hollywood are buying their kids spots into top schools. The schools include Harvard , Yale , USC , etc. Actor Lori Loughlin and her husband paid the Board of Admissions at USC $500,000 for each of their daughters to be let in. That is just one of the scandals. Another is a student who used a photo of another person on the rowing team saying that it was them when they had no experience in rowing at all. The parents of that student wired $200,000 to a private account to USC.
In my opinion , I think it’s a shame that these students could use money to get their way. It’ honestly isn’t fair to the students who have worked so hard their whole life and studied endless hours to get in. Also it’s not fair to students who’ve gotten rejected from top schools to make room for students who paid their way in.
This isn’t the same exact thing but it reminds me of people who have money buying their way out of trouble like R. Kelly or Jessie Smallet. These wealthy people of Hollywood think they’re untouchable but it’s coming back to bite them in the butt when they realize they’re not.
