fish worldwide are in danger due to climate change, a new study says, populations are shrinking 35% in coastal regions near japan and china. with the ocean warming 4% in the last year alone, there has been a decrease in sustainable catches, using information of the warming oceans and analyzed changes in sustainable catches triggered by temps; scientists were stunned to discover global warming has greatly affected fish stocks worldwide. more than 56 million people work in the fishing industry, with seafood providing over half of the protein consumed by humans. the biggest decline occurred in southern asia including the east china sea and parts of japan. if our climate continues to warm like it is currently, fish populations will decline more and more, to prevent this governments must halt overfishing and establish trade agreements to share stocks between areas being hurt by ocean warming.

  1. This is crazy! If we were to cut down on fishing, then we would be reducing employment rates. This relates to the assembly we went to see recently, and as to how we can cut down on global warming!
