Is This Shutdown Necessary

Standing in the way of a resolution to the government shutdown is a wall. A still mostly hypothetical wall along large sections of the southern border intended to keep immigrants from entering the United States illegally. A wall that President Trump promised his supporters he would deliver once he was in the Oval Office. A wall that if not built, some conservatives say, could cost Mr. Trump his presidency.- The times

25 days later into the ;longest government shutdown in history, affecting about 800,000 people.
The government shutdown is happening because Donald Trump is insisting on 5.7 billion dollars to build a wall on the southern boarder of the US. Some people say that this problem doesn't merit a government shutdown. The purpose of this is to let people know that this "crisis" is the longest in US history also shows the approximate number of how many people are affected by this.-Khai
