Elizabeth McCullough- America drops "mother of all bombs"

Synopsis: America has dropped it's biggest non-nuclear bomb on Afghanistan. The massive weapon nicknamed the "mother of all bombs" was used to target an ISIS headquarters. This is the first time this explosive has been used in battle, but it was first developed during the Iraq War. The damage is currently being calculated, but there's no doubt the carnage won't be pretty.

Analysis: The fact that human beings have access to weapons that cause this much damage is terrifying to me. No person should have that much power. Unfortunately a large percentage of the world is ruled by greedy, power hungry sociopaths who cannot see that their search for domination will lead to the demise of not only themselves but everyone around them. I can only hope one day we can see the error of our ways, and devices like this bomb no longer exist.

Synthesis: This is similar to when America dropped the first atomic bombs on Japan. These were the biggest weapons the world had ever seen. What's terrifying is now those bombs are mere child's play to the technology we possess now.

  2. I don't think this was a very wise decision. It's only going to make other countries want to go against the United States and start WW3.

  3. I don't like this! Technological advancement is great, but weapons of mass destruction are very unnecessary.

  4. No one should be able to cause as much damage as this. Technology is amazing, but we need to wield it carefully and think about the repercussions it can cause.
