Ciaja Beck (4th period) Cop beats man accused of jaywalking

Summary:  "I thought I was going to be the next Trayvon Martin to be honest," said Nandi Cain Jr., the man who was stopped and assaulted by a cop for jaywalking.







Analysis I am not liberal and I'm not "anti cop.". However, I am anti-foolish and this particular cop was foolish and also a coward. It was probably a matter of LAPD doing a very poor job of recruiting and training officers.

But to your main point, as an American citizen, I have higher expectations of the people we entrust to carry badges and guns than I have of common criminals so yes, I see this senseless violence committed by a LAPD as a bigger issue than senseless violence committed by a gang member.
