Temperatures in India have risen to 118F, causing up to 500 deaths, mostly of heatstroke. This has effected mostly the southern states of Telangana and Andhra, where 140 people have died due to this massive heatwave. But the state that was worst hit was Andhra Pradesh where 246 people have died just due to these astonishing temperatures within the last week.
Officials are now telling citizens to stay out of direct sunlight, to wear a cap when outside and drink copious amounts of liquid. In the near future, we hope for India to be able to recover quickly, and for these dreaded temperatures to finally drop.
