The Beegle family was catching a flight home from DisneyWorld when their autistic daughter started to get agitated and needed to eat a meal. Her mother told the flight attendants that she needed to purchase a hot meal from first class or else her daughter would have a meltdown and possibly scratch someone. The flight made an emergency stop in Salt Lake City and kicked the family off of the plane.

Analysis: This discrimination against people with mental disabilities has been a long standing problem. The government has tried to prevent this discrimination by passing laws such as equal opportunity laws, etc but to no avail. Many people still even use the word "retarded" as an insult to bring others down. Once we start treating disabled people as equals, we can truly progress to the nation that we want to be.
