"53 people in nine states sick after eating raw tuna" by Alex Norton 4th Period
A likely outbreak of salmonella occurred when fifty-three people got sick from eating raw tuna in nine different states. Ten of them were hospitalized, but no deaths have been recorded. "At this time, a common brand or supplier of raw tuna has not been identified," the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on its website. This is why the U.S. adopted laws such as the food and drug act thanks to horrific stories from The Jungle.

this is terrible considering i know i eat everything and this could have easily happened to myself or5 anyone close to me. these companies need to get it together to make sure our food all around the country is safe.
