"New York McDonald’s fires 8-year worker after she donates food to firefighters"

McDonald's ex-employee Heather Levia was fired after two instances of feeding firefighters with first her own money, then the combined money of her and her fellow employees.

It is surprising that the reason of her arrest is completely irrelevant to her good deeds. She was fired for "swearing at a superior"...apparently. Levia states that she said the incident was, "freaking ridiculous," but that no swear words were said, or pointed at anyone.

The first meal, which she paid for herself, was $73. The second was $80. When her boss and corporate rejected her request to pay for the second, her employees set in to help. She was later fired.

It's a good thing her story has gotten popular over the media; she's received multiple job offers.

  1. This is insane. They even paid for the meals!! it wasn't like she was just handing out free food. That McDonalds manager should be ashamed, those firefighters risk their lives every day to save people.

  2. People talk about how people are so cruel and nobody is genuine, when apparently if you do you are fired and punished? The logic of our world does not make sense.
