Summary: A couple of months ago, recalls were made on about 7 million GM vehicles. Apparently, there is a part on the car that was quite disturbing and not completely in safe condition for use. This ultimately resulted in the death of about 13 people. The faulty ignition switch is what caused these deaths. With GM knowing the faults of this switch they chose to still distribute and sell them anyway, and the consequence was the loss of lives. Therefore, they have been receiving a lot of negative commentary and inflammatory attacks and questioning in regards to the incident(s). More specifically, to the CEO of General Motors - "Mary, Barra", in which she apologized to those who purchased these recalled vehicles and those greatly affected by the recalls by saying she is "deeply sorry." GM does withhold total liability for this however the entities of it have yet to be stated.
Analysis: This article was created by Chris Isidore and Katy Lobosco on April 1, 2014 at 6:22 PM. CNN published this article. Ultimately, my view on the deal is that if GM knew that these cars had faults prior to distributing and selling them, sales should have never taken place, or been halted immediately. Thus they should obtain total liability for every death and person affected by these recalled vehicles. This article is important because it notified people who may partake in the purchasing of GM vehicles or those who own them of the updates of the cars as far as what's going on and steps that should be taken. And considering a vast majority of Americans travel by car on a day to day basis, I find the article exceedingly advantageous and essential.

This is seriously disheartening to hear, and I believe that GM should be held accountable for those lost. That's like letting someone ride on a damaged rollercoaster and expecting nothing to happen. With big companies its all about money. If they halted production or sales, it would cost them.
