Byron Otis-New Show Highlights Men in Ballet

A new show, pioneered by ballet dancer Ivan Putrov, titled Men in Motion, highlights the important moments in the history of men's ballet in the last century, hoping the uncover to the public the remarkable bounds made in the world of male ballet. In the 1910's, Russian dancer Nijinsky showed the world the full potential of the male dancer, creating fans from his energetic performance in The Phantom of the Rose and shocking them in his scandalous performance of the Faun in the provocative Afternoon of the Faun, with music by Debussy. Scenes like these, as well as numerous modern pieces, are exhibited in the show by the cream of the world of ballet. Read more here

  1. As a dance I think this is so cool! Men put so much work into and they dont get much credit for it, glad theyre getting the recognition now!!!
