India Launches rocket in hope of joining elite Mars explorer club

India is attempting to surpass the current records for space travel.The country's space orginization launched its orbiter to Mars on tuesday. It will take ton months to finally reach the red planet. ISRO is hopeful to discover the loss of water on Mars, map the land, as well as collect data about the two moons Phobos and Deimos. The Mars One project wants to colonize Mars, and the Inspire Mars foundation wants to lanch a man and woman 501 day without touching down mission.

Wow , this is awesome. More advancement in space discovery is always interesting to me, its astonishing how vastly dense but yet how far our universe tends to be. This discovery could unintentionally change the course of history, you never know. I hope India succeeds with this mission, as it will further better our knowledge as a population, about our solar system. One day we will all be living on mars...

  1. So cool! It's a little disappointing that India beat us to the punch, but it's still great to hear of such an instrumental advancement in the human exploration of other planets. I'm excited to see how this shapes our history; maybe one day we will live on the red planet!
