On March 15, 2019, there were gun attacks on two different mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. These attacks killed at least 49 people and injured more than 20. The attacks happened during Friday prayers. Four people were taken into custody, but only three are believed to have been involved. The Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern called it a terrorist attack. One man claimed responsibility and live streamed the attack. Mass shootings are rare in New Zealand - the last one happened in 1990. The Prime Minister called this "one of New Zealand's darkest days."

This is incredibly sad and shows that anti-Muslim sentiments are everywhere.

  1. It's absolutely psychotic that someone would commit that atrocity but also have the audacity to stream it live on facebook.

  2. This is a horrific event and it is so upsetting that someone would do this to people in their place of worship. The fact that people are streaming this is even worse and I hope that the victim's families can recover from this tragedy.
