Keyanna Smith "Sexual Violence on the Border"

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/03/us/border-rapes-migrant-winomen.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage

Melvin a mother of three had completed her trip from Guatemala and was led to the house on the border of McAllen, Texas. Locked in that room for weeks with the men that had promised to get her safely to the US had drugged her with cocaine and pills. She says that they raped her so many time they didn't see they as human anymore. Many migrants women and girls are victims of sexual assault and the border but it goes unreported and uninvestigated.

This is very sad that these women had to go through this and are still going through it. Its sad that men and just treat us how they want and like we aren't human and have feelings. This connects the reason why women are still wanting equal rights and men are upset because they are saying that they got the 19th amendment isn't that enough but it isn't at all.

  2. See the thing is people looove to pull the "women already have equal rights" but don't realize that things like this happen to women all the time and go uninvestigated. Where were their "equal rights"?? Then they have the audacity to accuse these victims are lying for attention when they do report them.
