Alex Carrington- AOC Scandal

This article was written today, March 4, 2019 regarding an incident involving New York. Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Saikat Chakrabarti. These politicians apparently violated campaign finance law by funnelling nearly $1 million in contributions from political action committees Chakrabarti established to private companies that he also controlled.
Although such transfers would not necessarily be improper, the complaint, drafted by conservative, Virginia-based National Legal and Policy Center, argued that the goal of the mission was seemingly to nefarious. Ocasio-Cortez and Chakrabarti, according to the complaint, appeared to have "orchestrated an extensive off-the-books operation to make hundreds of thousands of dollars of expenditures in support of multiple candidates for federal office."
This article was written to inform the people of America and the world of the recent happenings and scandals in our nation’s politics. In the past, such scandals have occurred in the contrasting party: republican. For example, during the Teapot Dome scandal, Albert B. Fall, who served as secretary of the interior in President Warren G. Harding's cabinet, was found guilty of accepting a bribe while in office.
