I think this is good way to get the word out about gun violence. I think that every app should also go through peoples profiles and see what they are treating guns like. This is a very serious topic because of the mass shootings that have been happening over these months.

Bumble the dating app is now banning pictures of guns. Since mass shootings have been progressing as time goes on, bumble believes people shouldn't pictures of guns on their profile. Many people who had pictures of guns were people from the military or other enforcement. Since Monday they are cracking down on people's profiles. Bumble is not the only app that is doing this, many businesses around the united states is doing the same thing. Also Bumble is donating 100,00 dollars to march for our lives which is organized by survivors from the parkland shooting.

I agree that the attention people are taking to gun violence is good. We all need to be watchful especially on the internet.

ReplyDeleteI think this is really cool of Bumble to do. This definitely brings a noticeable change, and if other apps also do this, a huge difference could possibly be seen.
