Jay'La Sims- 9/11 years after

SUMMARY:  President Obama wants to veto the legislation of 9/11 families suing Saudi Arabia. Josh Earnest a white house press secretary has spoken out on this situation. Earnest left the press with a statement of "there's no effort to diminish the sacrifice that they have made or the pain that they have endured or the heroism that they have displayed." The bill is co-authored by Texas senator John Cornyn and Chuck Schumer. This bill allows people to sue the Saudi Arabia government and could set a dangerous international precedent. 9/11 families issued a letter urging Obama to sign the legislation. The white house has been in opposition to the bill. The administration says the bill would ruin the relationship with Saudi Arabia. Earnest said this will be a hard decision for lawmakers. The congress is worried about the political impact of the bill but it has a very strong support. Cornyn says he believes the legislation is necessary.

ANALYSIS:  This article was written by Jordan Rudner who is a Washington correspondent for the Dallas news. This article was published on Monday September 12th , 15 years after 9/11. This article brings awareness to the law President Obama is about to veto.I agree with president Obama vetoing this bill. I don't think that it's rejecting the remorse of the families because the victims of 9/11 will always be honored. If the 9/11 families can sue Saudi Arabia , should the 2 million Muslims who died during U.S. invasion have their families sue the U.S. too. 9/11 is a travesty to the people that died on that day and the people that died because of it. This can relate to history with the mass killings of Native Americans and the justice for their land stolen.
