Delta Apologizes for kicking family off plane- Camryn Stafford

summary:
There has been a video circling the internet about the unfair removal of a family on delta airlines. The video, viewed more than three million times, is of a harsh interaction between a flight attendant and a man who is seated with his infant son on the plane. The father sat his infant sun in a car seat in the seat next to him while the rest of his family sat in the remaining seats. Unfortunately, Delta overbooked and found the need to ask the father to carry his son the entire plane ride. When the father refused and a slight altercation arose, Delta asked the entire family to leave. When the father  complained about not having a flight, food, or a place to stay, the flight attendant responded by saying that they were on their own and that it wasn't Delta's problem. Delta soon apologized saying that they are sorry for the conversation and that they always try to make sure that customers are provided with the right assistance and care.

analysis:
This isn't the first time that Delta has had problems on their flights. Similarly, when they overbooked their flight, they physically pulled an asian man off to make more space. Also, they kicked some women off the flight for wearing leggings proclaiming that it didn't follow their dress code. Although Delta has apologized in the past they do not seem sincere since this is a recurring thing. It's strange that they haven't learned from their past mistakes and treat their customers with respect, don't physically hurt them, and don't overbook flights. This can be synthesized to the reparations given to some Indian/Native American tribes as an apology for the violation of their rights

  1. It is hard to believe this continues to happen especially with the spot light on the airlines due to the videos that have been seen by millions of people.

  2. These airlines need to straighten up and start acting professionally.

  3. This is good that the airline has finally taken responsibility for what they've done. All of them need to take full penalty for their actions.

  4. I am glad they are owning up to their mistakes.

  5. It's good that they acknowledged it but they shouldn't be tryina pull the wool and say "we try to do them right thoe" when they obviously don't give a dang.
