Summary - Eight members of a Penn State Fraternity are charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of a student after a night of heavy drinking, the local district attorney's office said. Timothy Piazza died after he was injured while pledging the Beta Theta fraternity. The cause of death was traumatic brain injury that resulted from several falls. His blood alcohol content was between .26 and .36 the night he died. Beta Theta Pi was also charged with 50 counts of hazing, 48 counts of providing alcohol to minors and 48 other alcohol related counts.
