Laptop Ban Expansion Considered- Emma Lochabay

The Trump administration is likely to expand a ban on laptops on commercial aircraft to include some European countries, but is reviewing how to ensure lithium batteries stored in luggage holds do not explode in midair, officials briefed on the matter said on Wednesday.Any expansion of the ban could impact U.S. carriers such as United Airlines, Delta Air Lines Inc and American Airlines Group. Six U.S. and European officials said they expect the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to make an announcement but declined to say when.
This article was published on CNN, a popular and trustworthy news cite that i can trust to not include any bias.  Before reading this article, i have not heard of this news, therefore, my interpretation is not affected. This is an important article because it contains critical information and changes to government policies created my Trump's policies. This could synthesize to the period directly after 9/11 when airlines places more restrictions on travel policies.

  1. I think this ban would upset certain people. For instance, people who fly all of the time to do business might need their laptop while they're flying.
